The 3 days Nyiragongo hiking takes you to Nyiragongo Mountain which is the most active volcano in the whole world and it’s situated in North West of Democratic Republic of Congo. The mountain has an elevation of 3470 lying with in Virunga national park in Rwanda. The mountain is one of world’s active volcanoes with smoke and beautiful fire flames viewed every day but for best observation are at night.

Tour Plan
Our English-speaking driver will receive you from Kigali international airport and he will brief you on the safari. He will then transfer you to Gisenyi town which is the largest town in Lake Kivu towns. You will have some good times from Gisenyi because of the beautiful beaches and can have boat cruise from Lake Kivu while sighting series of islands and overlooking Nyiragongo volcano. You will have lunch from Gisenyi and after lunch cross Congo border to Goma town. Dinner and accommodation from Goma

After breakfast off to park headquarters for briefing and starting to hike the adventurous remaining most active and violent volcanoes on Africa and the whole world. You can hire a porter to help you on carrying luggage to the summit and to support you. Meals are prepared by the park team but however you can also carry your food if you wish too. Hiking to summit takes around 5-6hours and we advise our clients to be physically fit before climbing the mountain.
You should carry warm clothes and rain coat because of the changing climate. You will have overnight at summit which has amazing active volcanoes in Africa

Breakfast at summit, and descending from the active volcanoes with entire view of Goma town, Lake Kivu and Virunga national park to the bottom where you find the driver waiting for you. Check-out and transfer to Kigali international airport will start. You will stop at Gisenyi for lunch then proceed to Kigali airport.
